New project news...
A picture book switcheroo!
Sometimes the journey from first draft to publication is a long and winding road—and you have to remain flexible, persistent and ever-optismistic about your works in progress.
So when my current picture book project stalled a bit, I tried not to panic. (And by tried not to panic, I mean I spent several weeks pacing my office floor and eating candy, two things I typically do when panicked.)
Maybe it was all the sugar, but through the weeks of worry and woe—I wrote. A lot. Mostly about food. Then I'd cook. Or bake. And write some more.
The result of all that pacing and cooking and eating and writing was a new picture book manuscript. About baking, of course! Oooo, and it's cute. So cute that my patient and clever editor has decided to move this manuscript to the top of the production schedule while we work out the kinks on the other project.
