I was born on April Fool’s Day. Yep, today is my birthday. No fooling.
I’ve always liked having an April first birthday; people tend to remember it, which is nice. Sure, there’s the occasional April Fool’s Day prank. (Last year, my two older daughters replaced my deodorant with butter.) But even the jokes make my birthday a more festive affair.
So this year, I’m borrowing a tradition from my dear friend Michelle Phaneuf, a ceramics artist who gives away one of her beautiful creations every year on her birthday.
But I’m adding an April Fool’s Day twist!
I will send 3 signed books to one April Fool’s Day winner!
Baking Day at Grandma’s
Pigs Love Potatoes
Bella and Stella Come Home
To qualify for the giveaway, you must first guess the correct APRIL FOOL FACT. (Sort of like the 3 Truths & 1 Lie feature in People magazine. What? You don’t read People? *Cough* Right. Neither do I.)
Guess the “fool” fact:
A. I can waterski.
B. I was named after the character “Annika” in Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren.
C. I met my husband at a book signing.
Comment below or on my Facebook Page to enter-to-win! I’ll announce the winner this FRIDAY!
* For domestic US residents only.
* If you are related to me, or have known me most of my life, you have a distinct advantage, so let others have a shot at this one, and you know I’ll send you some books, anyway. 🙂
